King and Charlotte Condos

Occupying a prime urban spot just west of the vibrant Spadina Avenue, this sleek condominium will feature a 36-storey tower anchored by an 11-storey podium. The first two floors of the podium will include almost 37,000 square-feet of retail space. Retail access will be available through a galleria located at the building’s southwest corner.

The visionaries behind King and Charlotte Condos are Plazacorp Urban Residential Communities. Since 1982, the Plazacorp philosophy of providing a uniformly high level of standard quality in every Plazacorp condominium has made their name synonymous with lasting value.

The building is planned to be 47 stories and 640 suites with Hariri Pontarini Architects designing the condominium. The suites are primarily Two-bedroom units; about 25% of the building will be One-bedroom and less than 10% are planned as Three-bedrooms.

In total, the tower will feature 11,409 square metres of indoor amenity space on floors three and 12, with the entire twelfth floor reserved for indoor amenities. 11,590 square-feet of outdoor amenity space will also be included on these floors, including a northeast-facing outdoor terrace on the third floor and east and north facing terraces on the twelfth floor.

The tower will be a singular, rectangular-shaped structure, designed with vertical cladding in both dark and light tones for a contemporary and distinctive feel.

These condominiums in Toronto are part of an exciting and dynamic neighbourhood. Though it’s already earned a reputation as a major hotspot in the city – thanks to an endless selection of bars, nightclubs and five-star restaurants – Toronto’s Entertainment District is poised for even more of an urban transformation. As part of the city’s downtown “Urban growth centre”, its a neighbourhood where density and infrastructure are expected to increase, expanding the reach of this vibrant and connected hub.

In anticipation of major growth for the area, the city of Toronto has launched a pilot study to modernize the transit system. As it stands, the King streetcar passes right by the site’s front door and it’s a few minute’s walk to the St. Andrew subway station. The Spadina streetcar also runs north and south just a block away, connecting directly with the subway’s line 2. It’s hard to imagine a site with better transit access.

Residents of King and Charlotte Condos can enjoy the perfect transit score of 100/100 by taking advantage of the world-class transit system surrounding this coveted location. The 514 Cherry, 504 King, 510 Spadina, 304 King, 310 Spadina streetcars and numerous buses run along King Steet.

Union and St. Andrew subway stations are also located nearby and will connect commuters to all the city has to offer

This part of the Entertainment District sits in the downtown Toronto “Urban Growth Centre,” as designated by the province of Ontario. These areas are primed for a significant population growth in the coming years, both residentially and commercially, making them great neighbourhoods to invest in.

Condos in the Entertainment District command some of the city’s highest rental rates and are in demand with young professionals, urbanites and executives who work in the nearby Financial District. It’s an exciting and vibrant place to live, surrounded by some of the city’s hottest clubs and restaurants, yet some of the city’s most charming historic buildings. There are several exciting developments planned here for the next few years, including the addition of a new OCAD campus. Arts and culture are both at your fingertips, with an abundance of galleries in the area, and some of the city’s most beloved theatres.

Plazacorp Developments Since 1982, the Plazacorp’s Developments philosophy is providing a uniformly high level of standard quality in every condominium Plaza builds. Plaza were the first condominium developers and builders in Toronto to include such finishes as granite counters and floors, marble bathroom counters and floors, halogen lighting, under-mount sinks, porcelain tile, engineered hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances as standard features rather than costly upgrades. Building with more quality from the beginning is a hallmark of every Plaza Developments, which has resulted in condo suites that have greater market value today, and have lasting value for tomorrow.
